OSA Rules regarding OSA-Recognized Non-Club Academies

OSA Rules regarding OSA-Recognized Non-Club Academies:

   1. OSA-Registered Referees are not permitted to officiate any games involving academies  unless both teams are operated by OSA-Recognized Non-Club Academies

    2. Teams operated by affiliated Clubs are not permitted to play against any Academy teams regardless of whether the Academy is an OSA-Recognized Non-Club Academy or not

Club Academies are academies run by Clubs which are affiliated with a
District Association of the OSA. Club Academies must register their
players as normal Clubs would with the District Association with which the
Club is affiliated and subject to the rules of that District Association.

Non-Club Academies are academies which are operated by private independent
organizations which are not affiliated as a Club with an OSA District
Association. In order to comply with the FIFA Regulation 19 bis in the
Province of Ontario, the Non-Club Academy must first be recognized by the
OSA in accordance with the OSA's policies. After the Non-Club Academy
obtains the designation of OSA-Recognized Non-Club Academy, the academy is
then obligated to report all of its player participants who have not yet
reached their 18th birthday to the OSA. I will be providing a Player
Report Form to each academy as soon as that academy is accorded the
OSA-Recognized Non-Club Academy designation
